Announcing our Reclaimed Redwood Top Option
Introducing the Tailwater, the new bass from Stuart Spector!
Esopus Guitars is proud to announce the new bass guitar design from the mind and hands of legendary bass luthier Stuart Spector.
Handcrafted by Stuart at the Esopus workshop located in the Catskill Mountains, the Tailwater bass features a comfortable body (15.5" lower body bout width, 2.15" body thickness measuring from the peak of the carved top) that delivers plenty of New York attitude for all your low-end needs. From its fully carved spruce top (the top is carved on both its exterior and interior surfaces) with a thumb rest that is elegantly carved into the top, to its super hard Carnauba wax finish, every detail of the Tailwater has been expertly planned and executed to deliver the tones you want - whether you're playing with your band or at home.
Each Tailwater bass is hand signed and numbered on the back of the peghead by Stuart Spector.
FAQ: Why *Acoustic* Basses?
For over 45 years, Stuart handcrafted award-winning solid body basses and guitars that are loved and played worldwide. However, instead of resting on his laurels and continuing to produce solid body basses, Stuart decided to embark on a new instrument-making adventure by learning all the necessary skills to produce high-end, handcrafted acoustic (and acoustic/electric) instruments.
A very limited number of Tailwater basses are crafted by hand in the Esopus workshop. Contact us to order your Tailwater bass!
