After forty years of building premium solid body electric guitars and basses, Stuart Spector has started his journey handcrafting acoustic instruments.
Esopus Guitars, named after a favorite local fishing stream, are handcrafted by Stuart in his new one-man workshop in upstate New York.
Stuart's long time friend and business partner PJ RUbal is handling instrument sales.
a full line of acoustic and acoustic/electric guitars and basses is planned. Each instrument is hand signed and numbered by Stuart.

I have spent most of my life making electric guitars and basses. The last 3 years I have devoted myself to setting up for building acoustic instruments. This has been a journey of discovery, exploring new challenges to build the best sounding and playing guitars possible.
In this world of disposable products it is a genuine privilege to be able to build guitars that will give joy to current and future generations. Every time I string up a new one, I'm inspired by the magic of strings vibrating wood to produce the heavenly tones that first made me fall in love with guitars.
