The newest member of the Esopus Guitar family is the WB, our mid-sized guitar. Handcrafted at the Esopus workshop located in New York's Catskill Mountain region, this OM style acoustic guitar with its 15" wide lower body bout has great tonal balance and projection. Featuring scalloped bracing and a hand rubbed French Polish finish, every detail of our WB has been thoughtfully planned and expertly executed.

“I'm working on a new OOO guitar which uses local Hudson Valley woods. The back and sides are quartersawn sycamore. The hardness of sycamore is virtually identical to Honduras mahogany.
The top is local spruce from just across the river in Red Hook NY. This spruce is Norwegian spruce (Picea abies) that is now the most common local spruce thanks to its use for gardens and construction materials. These trees are so happy not to be in the harsh conditions of Norway that they grow really well over here. I've used it on 4 instruments so far and the tone is wonderful, a great balance all across the range of notes.
